You like us… You really like us

Okay this isn’t the Oscars and I am a far cry from Sally Fields. But today we hit a milestone that well to be honest, we are overwhelmed by. Today we hit 1,000 followers on our blog. Brett and I cannot begin to tell you how much this means to both of us! It is an honor to have each and every one of you along on this journey with us.

We never thought when we started writing this blog that so many would see our passion and want to take this journey with us.

We are just getting started. There is so much more history to tell you about and so much more things we have to do before we open.

We are just so excited and can’t wait to really share this historic plantation with everyone!

Thank you to each of you that have given us words of encouragement, your well wishes, your advice and your likes.

Hurley says that he appreciates it too!

Tonight.. A new post about the outbuilding on Belle Grove Plantation!

We have a SURPRISE that we plan to post on Monday!

If you are thinking about coming to see us at the plantation, you will want to read this post!

I think beginnings are always the most interesting part of anything. My hat is off to you for your courage, integrity in preserving such an important part of the past, and your humour. Thank you!

Amazing! 1,000 is a figure I can only dream about. I started up about 10 days ago and I have all my toes and fingers crossed! You have a wonderful site and a magnificent property. I’ll bet it takes a lot of work and dedication. Best of luck with it all.

Of course I would love to visit, but being in another continent and another country (Switzerland) with a large pond in between, it just will not be possible. Keep up the good work, very interesting to read.

    • Thank you! It is because of people like you that we reached this milestone! Never say never! You could one day find your way to us! 😉 Though I think Switzerland would be just as equally beautiful as Virginia.

  11. Congratulations, guys! Keep up the good work, which we enjoy reading!

    That’s amazing! Congratulations.
I’m still in Florida helping watch the grandguys and set up house during their move to Naples. It’s been exciting–Hurricane Debby, tornados, wind, and LOTS of rain!!

  13. Amazing! I know you guys will have plenty more followers to come. Excited to see the video! Keep all the hard work going it’s always soooo worth it! 😀

Congratulations on reaching the thousand mark and wish you well for the future.

    • Thank you! Please consider visiting our Indiegogo site and see the video of the house! You can see the resident osprey Dolley flying over the house. If you can, please leave us a comment on that site. It will help us save the outbuildings that date to 1790!

  16. It’s true, we really do! Congratulations.
