Back to Belle Grove

Riverside Portico
Belle Grove Plantation

Today I returned to the plantation since all this started with my mother. It was so good to be back. It is such a peaceful place and really helped me clear my head and get more focus. And the reason I return was for such a wonder reason. I met with two brides-to-be in 2013. One is getting married in April and one in June. They were there to visit the plantation and to get an idea if they wanted to have some or all of their weddings and receptions with us in 2013. Both were wonderful couples. We would be so honored to help them start their new lives together at Belle Grove Plantation.

Could there be a wedding in our future at Belle Grove Plantation in 2013?

Always one way of dealing with loss and grief is to get back to work – that is what we are doing as well… Good luck with your ventures, and I’m sure Belle Grove will become very popular for weddings, as it is a beautiful place.

  10. Glad your getting back into the swing of things. It’s so difficult to move forward when something happens like this happens – I know. And how exciting to be part of planning a wedding! I’m jealous…

  11. I have to say, my daughter-in-law’s wedding at an outdoor chapel and barn in Texas was very special. We will never forget the special time we had under the, trees. I highly recommend the venue.

  12. Just gorgeous! I was doing research for a book and came across this Victorian mansion where they open their home to weddings. Maybe it can give you some ideas. http://www.zmansion.com/faq.html

It is the reminders of the every day things like weddings and births that remind us that life goes on and of the joys we have shared with our loved ones. When I was diagnosed with cancer, my friend found out she would be a grandmother for the first time, what a promise to hold on to while I was going through my treatments. My prayer for you is that you will find your mother in all the little things of life as you finish Belle Grove and remember all the happy memories that will bring you comfort. Hugs…Patty

  17. Good idea to have a reception in such a lovely place. If I were getting married, I would think of you.

    Thinking of you anyway. Dianne

  22. I send wishes your way that the plantation will ease the pain of losing your Mom so recently, especially with Christmas so near.

Your Belle Grove will be a fantastic venue for weddings beginning in 2013 with the spring and early summer events. I bet you will be busy booking Christmas weddings as well. Good luck to you and your husband. Opening day is drawing nearer.

    Lovely! thanks for reading.

  25. Do you advertise in THE KNOT? Also if you have not had an event on the property for photogs, wedding planners it might be a good idea. Also there are many photog groups on meetup.com . While everyone does not have a wedding planner, most people do employ photogs and you have some phenomenal shoots on your property!
